Abstract

This study examined the satisfaction of leisure activities of Chinese workers in various dimensions to see if the satisfaction factors increase optimism and further affect job-related self-determination. As the interest in positive psychology has increased recently, organizations are also paying attention to the role of worker’s positive state of mind, such as optimism. According to the results, several dimensions of leisure satisfaction increased optimism, thereby enhancing autonomy and relatedness of self-determination.
