Abstract

This article presents a new method of uterine closure in repeat cesarean section using absorbable suture anchors and additional sealing of the scar with amniotic membrane. The proposed method is not followed by excessive blood loss, does not prolong the duration of surgical intervention and postoperative hospitalization. This method also reduces the incidence of intra- and postoperative complications and cesarean scar defect, eliminates the need for additional hemostatic suturing of the uterus, and promotes myometrial regeneration. Key words: amnion, amniotic membrane, cesarean section, cesarean scar defect
