Abstract

The study discusses the basics and characteristics of management decision-making in oil and gas companies. The following research methods have been applied: systems, comprehensive, compara-tive, and multi-criteria analysis. The emphasis is placed on the management-decision assessment system that allows one to address any shortcom-ings at an early stage. The authors propose a scheme to make management decisions in the oil and gas industry, considering the specific nature of oil and gas companies and their rapid assessment system. The study presents the main factors and criteria affecting the results of decisions. The study reveals the aspects that should be taken into ac-count when developing oil and gas fields in hard-to-reach areas and highlights the main feasibility indicators in this regard. The authors argue that the assessment of management decisions is of univer-sal nature, and the methods developed during the study can be widely used.
