Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of cartographic support of tourist routes, in particular, the "Petrified City" route in Cenzkowicz (Poland). In the context of consideration of various mapping technologies, in particular the platforms Google Maps, MapMyHike, AllTrails and others, and their possibilities for creating and planning routes. The author draws attention to the importance of these tools for creating tourist maps and navigation materials. The focus of the article is aimed at revealing the geological features and history of the "Petrified City" route through the prism of natural monuments. An overview of the tourist potential of the city of Cenzhkovice and its main attractions is given. The AllTrails application was used to visually represent the route and provide information about the elevation profile and route stopping points. Special attention is paid to the importance of cartographic support for ensuring safety, comfort and enriching the experience of tourists during their travels. This consists in providing detailed geographical information, which contributes to better orientation during the route and improves the quality of the tourist experience.
