Китай и страны Латинской Америки: проблемы и перспективы сотрудничества в XXI веке

Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify the problems and determine the prospects for China’s cooperation with Latin American countries in the 21st century. The relevance of the topic is caused by the increasing interaction be-tween China and the region, which has a direct impact on the international geopolitical environment. In the course of the research general scientific methods such as analysis and synthesis, comparisons and groupings, as well as generalisation of the results obtained were used. The paper analysed the development of trade in-teraction between the countries, investment cooperation and the peculiarities of China’s projects in the region. The specificity of the global position of Latin America in the conditions of division of influence between the USA and China is reflected. As a result of the conducted study, the strengthening of China’s position in the region was identified, and contradictions in China’s foreign trade policy towards Latin American countries were re-vealed.
