Abstract

The purpose of the research is to determine the sensitivity and specificity of the developed test system in the immunofluorescence reaction as one of the methods for diagnosing Trypanosoma evansi. The novelty of the test system is the use of a local trypanosome isolate, which will increase the diagnostic value and specificity, with further production in accordance with international GMP standards, which will guarantee the quality and safety of the studies. The work used parasitological research methods and serological methods of setting the reaction of immunofluorescence in various concentrations. As a result of the studies, the high sensitivity and specificity of the fluorescence reaction in relation to the Trypanosoma evansi strain was confirmed. Diagnostic immunoglobulin is highly sensitive to trypanosomes at concentrations of 1:1 and 1:10 in green-yellow and blue-violet spectra. The specificity of the diagnostic immunoglobulin was confirmed by the absence of reaction with the blood cells of horses, as well as with the T. equiperdum strain, in which luminescence is visible only in the shell and undulating membrane. The use of the developed test system shows the potential of the immunofluorescence reaction in modern practical veterinary serology and parasitology, and will also contribute to the fight against equine trypanosomiasis in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
