Abstract

Based on the data obtained during the work, we concluded that in most cases, when examining the blood system in hospitalized patients with coronavirus infection, among whom there are mainly elderly people with an increased body mass index, there are a significant increase in the level of C-reactive protein and fibrinogen, while in the general blood analysis leukocytes, neutrophils and platelets remain mostly within normal limits. When considering the coagulogram, such indicators of hemostasis as activated partial thromboplastin time, prothrombin time and the international normalized ratio also remain normal. However, it is worth noting that in half of the cases there is an increase in such an important prognostic indicator as the D-dimer level.
