Abstract
The article considers the main problems that stand in the way of achieving the national development goals of the Russian Federation on the example of the goal “Comfortable and safe environment for life”, provides a classification of problems, focuses on the corruption component, low solvency of the population, as well as the need to increase the urban planning potential of territories with reduction statistics. The role and necessity of involving self-government bodies for the implementation of regional projects is determined.
