Abstract

The paper presents the results of a varietal study of introduced technical grapevine varie-ties for 2021. The study was carried out using methods generally accepted in viticulture. The object of the research was 26 technical intro-duced grapevine varieties of various ecological and geographical origin. Based on the results of the study, data on agrobiological indicators, yields, and crop conditions are presented. The number of blooming eyes in the group of white berry varieties ranged from 67.9 % in the Ries-ling Rhine variety to 85.7 % in the Kokur white variety; in the group of red wine varieties, this indicator ranged from 47.6 % for the Demir Kara variety to 89.7 % for the Lusakert variety. According to the average weight of a bunch, varieties stood out (with white berries) – Aibat-ly 396 g, Mkhargdzeli 364 g, Chinuri 326 g and Kokur white 307 g; with colored berries – Megrabuyr 389 g, Sangiovese 329 g and Anushyut 307 g. The varieties Kharko, Tash-kentsky, Gabekhauri shavi and Marguli sapère had a high estimated yield (130–160 c/ha). More than 20 g/100 cm3 of sugars in the group of white technical varieties had Biyas Aibatly, Kharko, Khikhvi (21.8 g/100 cm3), Mkhargdzeli (21.2 g/100 cm3) and Kokur belyj (20.7 g/100 cm3); among the red wine varieties Aleksandrouli (22.3 g/100 cm3), Demir cara (21.4 g/100 cm3), Cabernet Sauvignon (21 g/100 cm3), Gabekhauri Shavi (20.7 g/100 cm3), Saperavi dediani (20 g/100 cm3). According to the totality of economically valuable traits, in 2021, the fol-lowing varieties were distinguished as the best: white technical – Kharko, Khikhvi, Mkhar-gdzeli and Kokur belyj; red technical Aleksandrouli, Gabekhauri Shavi, Marguli Sapere, Sa-peravi Dediani and Sangiovese.
