Abstract
The study sought to examine the effects on the satisfaction with life scale for parents of the adult workers with developmental disabilities, Focused on mediating effect about care burden. It used the data of 600 persons who answered to all of major variables among 3,000 wage workers from the survey of work and life for the people with developmental disabilities in 2020 of Employment for the Disabled of Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled. The results was proved from the four phases approach method on Hierarchical Multiple Regression of Baron & Kenny (1986), guardian's educational background, health condition, family income, residential price status and the developmental disabilities’s duplicate failure status, disability grade, period of continuous service, current business type, task adaptation. the mediating effect analysis through the Sobel test, the satisfaction with life scale was affected by the care burden., mediating effect was verified about nine ariables. In order to enhance the satisfaction with life scale for parents who the adult workers with developmental disabilities, the study about care burden required the realistic plans focused on understanding about their conditions. Based on these results, the policy and practice about the family and the employment policy, administration, delivery system which the positive disability awareness in work and society and the stable maintenance of work was suggested.
