Abstract

The article examines the methods and techniques to popularize the creative heritage of the Russian composer of the turn of the XVIII-XIX centuries Stepan Anikiyevich Degtyarev. The paper describes the related activity of the Choral Conducting Department of Belgorod State Institute of Arts and Culture, emphasizes the necessity to inspire students-choirmasters’ interest to the composer’s personality, his creative and spiritual search. The authors for the first time analyse the structural peculiarities of the choral concert “It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord”.
