Abstract

The development of machine tools, as an integral part of mechanical engineering, is an important component of economic growth in any country. Machine tool construction largely determines the conditions for the growth of industrial production based on the use of the latest technologies, equipment, methods of organization of production. Production efficiency is determined by the level of its productivity, minimum cost and a set of quality indicators of each product.The main stages of machine tool development and the influence of development dynamics on quantitative and qualitative indicators of metalworking equipment are considered in the article. Based on long-term forecasts of the development of production systems, the algorithm of modular creation of new machines is one of the promising ways for modern production.The analysis of ways of improving the process of creation of the metal-cutting machine is executed and the basic conditions of achievement of its maximum conformity to requirements of machine-building manufacture are defined.It is shown that the use of electronic control systems to create the necessary kinematic structure of the CNC machine provides universalization of processing methods and shaping methods for the manufacture of a variety of parts. This makes it possible to reduce the number of original modules to create a machine for any purpose.The basic principles of arrangement of metal-cutting machines with CNC on the modular principle are defined and the algorithm of selection of modules for creation of a design of the machine which meets the established requirements is developed.
