The authors explore the structural changes in scientific collaborations in Siberian regions applying the method of scientometrical analysis of publications. After many years of growth, in 2022–2023 the scientific cooperation of Russian institutions with those in Europe and North America drastically reduced. The most significant changes took place in Novosibirsk and Tomsk regions that earlier had been leading in international collaborations. In the other Siberian regions the decline is less significant. Every discipline experiences the recession, moreover in many cases the scientific contacts with China and Kazakhstan have decreased, too. Notably, Krasnoyarsk region has upgraded its interaction with India, Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia, while Irkutsk and Novosibirsk regions have maintained their cooperation with Mongolia. The Siberian regional cooperation has been stagnating under the dominance of the capital city, Novosibirsk region leads less often, and Tomsk region is ranked third. Interaction with the Ural region, i. e. Sverdlovskaya, Tyumen and Chelyabinsk regions, are still intensive and covers the wide range of disciplines, while the ties with the Russian Far East are rather weak.

  • Agrarian science
  • S V Zyuzgina + 2 more

Relevance. The relevance of the topic is determined by the fact that an analysis of the epizootic situation of infectious anemia of horses in the Russian Federation has been carried out, with the identification of regions with a high degree of risk for this chronic infection. The dynamics of the spread of the disease in disadvantaged regions for the period 2018–2020 was analyzed.Methods. The main method of laboratory diagnosis of infectious anemia of horses is the study of blood serum in the diffuse precipitation in agar gel (AGID). For the analysis, we used the statistical data presented in the official reporting form 4-vet according to the Order of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation dated 02.04.2008 No. 189 (“On the Regulations for the provision of information to the system of state information support in the field of agriculture”).Results. The article presents the results of the analysis of the prevalence of infectious anemia of horses in the country based on the results of serological studies in the AGID performed by the state veterinary laboratories of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in 2018–2020. In total, 1,426,642 one-hoofed animals were examined in the Russian Federation for three years at EIAV, 1,322 horses positively responding to AGID were found (0.1%). The largest number of sick horses was found in the constituent entities of the Siberian and Ural Federal Districts. Horses infected with the EIAV virus were found in all 12 constituent entities of the Siberian Federal District, 640 animals (0.1% of those examined). A tense epizootic situation has developed in the Omsk, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk and Tomsk regions, the Altai Republic, and the Trans-Baikal Territory. In 5 constituent entities of the Ural Federal District, horses responding positively to EIAV were found, only 584 samples (0.3%), the largest number — in the Sverdlovsk and Tyumen regions. Isolated cases of horse disease EIAV were registered in the Amur Region, the Sakha Republic and the Primorsky Territory of the Far Eastern Federal District, as well as in other regions of the country. Thus, the epizootic situation according to EIAV on the territory of individual constituent entities of the Russian Federation remains tense, which indicates the need for constant monitoring of the spread of infection.

Aim is to assess repeatedly cytogenetic effects of co- or monoinfection caused by Lyme borreliosis and tick-borne encephalitis during the acute and convalescent periods of the disease depending on variants of glutathione-S-transferase (GSTM1 or GSTT1) genes in the patient’s genotype. Material and methods: The study included 186 patients and 166 healthy (control) residents of the north of the Tomsk and Tyumen regions, who were examined by clinical, laboratory and cytogenetic methods (micronucleus analysis). Among the 186 examined patients, Lyme borreliosis was diagnosed in 65 individuals, tick-borne encephalitis was in 59 patients, and coinfection was found in 62 individuals. The material for the study (smears of buccal cells) was obtained repeatedly during admission of patients to treatment, and also after 1 week, 1, 3 and 6 months. Polymerase chain reaction was used to analyze the alleles of the GSTM1 and GSTT1 genes. Results: significant increase in the frequency of micronucleated buccal cells in patients with coinfection, as compared with the groups of control and patients with monoinfection. The significantly increased frequency of micronucleated cells was associated with the mutant inactive alleles of the GSTM1(0/0) and GSTT1(0/0) genes. If the patients were carriers of the mutant allele of the GSTM1(0/0) gene, the cytogenetic instability could persist for half a year. It was found that chronic arthritis in the Lyme borreliosis patients was associated with a long persistence of an increased frequency of micronucleated cells. Conclusion: Significant differences in the frequency and the lasting of persistence of micronucleated cells between groups of patients with coinfection and monoinfections were found. The most significant increase in those parameters was detected in the coinfected patients in whose genotype contained non-active forms of the GSTM1(0/0) and GSTT1(0/0) genes.

Aim of this study was to study the dynamics of the frequency of cytokinesis-blocked T-lymphocytes with micronuclei in peripheral blood and the frequency of buccal micronucleated epithelium cells for a period of half a year in patients with acute tick-borne encephalitis, depending on burden of active and inactive variants of glutathione-S-transferase genes (GSTM1 and GSTT1) in the patient's genotype. We carried out micronucleus assay in immunocompetent and non-immunocompetent cells in 54 patients with acute tick-borne encephalitis and 35 healthy persons (control) residing in the Tomsk and Tyumen regions. To analyze the frequency of cytokinesis-blocked micronucleated T-lymphocytes was used venous peripheral blood as material for phytohemagglutinin-stimulated cultures, and to study the frequency of buccal micronucleated cells, samples of the buccal mucous membrane epithelial cells were obtained. To carried out both techniques of micronucleus assay, cytological preparations were prepared, which were stained using the Giemsa or Felgen methods. The material for the study was obtained repeatedly during admission of patients to treatment, and also after 1 week, 1, 3 and 6 months. Polymerase chain reaction was used to analyze the alleles of the GSTM1 and GSTT1 genes. As a result of this analysis was found a significant increase in the frequency of micronucleated cells in tick-borne encephalitis patients compared with the control group. In addition, the frequency of cytokinesis-blocked micronucleated T-lymphocytes was increased significantly higher than the one of micronucleated buccal cells. The most significant and prolonged increase in the frequency of micronucleated cells was associated with the mutant inactive variants of the genes GSTM1 (0/0) and GSTT1 (0/0). In the patients with burden the inactive forms of these genes, the cytogenetic instability of the cytokinesis-blocked blood T-lymphocytes could persist for up to six months. In case of buccal cells, the frequency of micronucleated cells was close to the one in the control group as early as 1-3 months after a course of treatment. Conclusion. It was found that the most increased and prolonged frequency of cytogenetically instable cells persisted in cytokinesis-blocked T-lymphocytes of peripheral blood of patients with tick-borne encephalitis who were carriers of the genotype with inactive variants of both GSTM1 (0/0) and GSTT1 (0/0 ) glutathione-S-transferase genes.

The study is devoted to assessing the quality of Russian Federation subjects’ policies in thefield of creative industries. For this purpose, the special methodology and information base were developed, according to which for each region the Index of Creative policies Quality (ICQ) was calculated. The regions were ranked according to the ICQ and the results of the ranking were interpreted. In accordance with the ICQ, characteristics of legal and organizational support, the representation of creative industries in regional socio-economic development strategies, the availability of region-level support and the regions’ participation in the federal support measures, all Russian regions were divided into 4 groups. The top-10 regions included Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Republic of Tatarstan, Novosibirsk, Sverdlovsk, Tomsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Tyumen, Vologda and Ulyanovsk regions. The leading regions are distinguished by the systematic approach to setting strategic priorities in the field of creativeindustries, the diversified organizational infrastructure and initiative in launching regional support measures. There is a connection between urbanization, economic prosperity and the quality of policies in the field of creative industries. The study showed that the policies in the field of creative industries significantly vary by the frequency of occurrence in regions. Thus, the participation in the federal agenda is more common than the developing the region-level measures, and setting goals and objectives aimed at developing creative industries in regional socio-economic development strategies is more common than the creating the specialized strategies.

  • A A Arsenyev + 2 more

The territory of Kurgan region is actually located within the boundaries of the West Siberian oil and gas province, where industrial reserves of hydrocarbons are discovered and actively developed within Tyumen, Omsk, Tomsk and Novosibirsk regions. The article presents an assessment of petroleum potential of Kurgan region (a case study of deposits of Early Carboniferous age, zones of serpentinization of ultrabasic rocks, as well as the Upper Cretaceous Suprasenomanian complex of rocks). It would seem that Kurgan region today could conduct industrial development of fields, because it neighboures upon those regions in which hydrocarbon production is carried out. However, oil or gas deposits in this region have not been discovered yet, and the study of the subsurface is discrete and unsystematic. The uncertainty in the fate of Kurgan oil is a legacy of Soviet geology. It is likely that large hydrocarbon reserves will not be found in Kurgan region, but there are forecast resources, and they cannot be confirmed without a comprehensive study of the subsurface. The authors of the article try to understand why an oil or gas fountain has not clogged in Kurgan region yet.

We describe the human acute opisthorchiasis outbreaks in Moscow region acquired from eating raw Leuciscus idus, Abramis brama and Aspius aspius in 10 patiens: 5 delivered fish from Tyumen and Sverdlovsk regions and 5 – from fish during their travelling to Tomsk and Astrakhan regions. Although, 18 people had identical history of consumption raw fish 10 had clinical symptoms of which the most frequent one was febrile eosinophilic syndrome. Other 8 people had no clinical symptoms. Eggs of O.felineus were found in 10 patients. Due to risk of cholangiocarcinoma in patients infected with O.felineus we recommend one day of praziquantel 25 mg/kg TID. Although opisthorchiasis is not frequently reported in Moscow region, it should be considered in cases of unexplained acute febrile eosinophilic syndrome with cholestasis, especially when patients confirm the ingestion of raw fish.

The issue of developing strategic trust at different levels of self-organization of territorial communities gains increasing importance in Russia. This article considers trust and responsibility as integral components of forming a sustainable society and implementation of modernization processes. The author turns to the problem of the relationship between these concepts and reveals trends in the dynamics of trust relationships in Russia and its regions. This article relies on the results of comparative sociological and cultural studies in the Tomsk (2015), Kursk (2016), and Tyumen (2016) regions, as well as in Russia overall (2015). The comparison of results from sociological researches shows the characteristics of institutional and interpersonal trust. The author notes that the new challenges to the development of society associated with the tasks of transition to system modernization create an increased demand for strengthening social partnership and the establishment of qualitative and constructive public policy. There is a trend to activate the position of citizens in defending their rights, as well as in helping vulnerable categories of the population. In conclusion, the author shows practical steps of individual regions on the way of creation of solidary society.

  • Ekologiya cheloveka (Human Ecology)
  • E V Yamkovaya + 3 more

225 men employed in the oil industry of the Tomsk and Tyumen Regions of Siberia, the Russian Federation, have been examined. It has been established that the frequency of micronucleated buccal epithelial cells and concentrations of urino-excreted benzapyrene in the workers were significantly higher then in the control group. The highest levels of the indices, including the increased frequency of cells with a large micronucleus (more than 3 pm 2 in diameter), were observed in the individuals with mutant alleles of GSTM1 gene. There has been established a correlation between the frequency of micronucleated cells and the concentrations of benzapyrene in urine. The activation of mutation process in the oil industry workers is presumed to be a result of combined effects of various factors on the genome including not only strong mutagens, but also co-mutagens. It should become a base for implementation of the new, scientifically based criteria for hiring personnel for oil industry works in Siberia.
