Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and functional fitness by classifying elderly women according to body mass index (BMI). Subjects were 206 elderly women classified as normal weight group (74.2±5.0 yr, n=68), 18.5~23.0 ㎏/㎡ as overweight group (74.1±5.4 yr, n=62), 23~25 ㎏/㎡ overweight group and 25 ㎏/㎡ over obesity group (73.8±3.9 yr, n=76) according to WHO (2000) BMI classification criteria.
