Abstract

The "boom" of Yakutia films has now become a phenomenon that the world film industry is paying attention to. In 2016, director Dmitry Davydov"s debut film The Bonfire was selected in the "Flash Forward" of the Busan International Film Festival for new directors from non-Asian regions. And after the special program at Seoul Art Cinema in Korea and the special program at the Busan International Film Festival in 2017 Yakutia film directors are actively entering major Russian domestic film festivals and prestigious international film festivals. The three films that will be dealt with in this paper are works that continue the achievements of Yakutia films until 2020.<BR> First of all, Vladimir Munkuev"s film Nucha was selected as the first Yakutian-born director to win the grand prize in the "East-West" competition at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, which is considered the most prestigious film festival in Eastern Europe. In this paper, I approached this work with the key words of "funeral" and "burial".<BR> The film Yt, directed by Dmitry Davydov and Stefan Brunasev Stefan, was selected in the competition section of the 2021 Warsaw International Film Festival and won the Netpack Award and the Special Jury Prize. In this paper, this work in an omnibus format consisting of 7 episodes was analyzed with the key word ‘relationship’. More specifically, major episodes were analyzed under the sub-themes of ‘drinking’ and ‘gun’.<BR> The film Helicopter directed by Mikhail Lukachevsky won the grand prize at the 2021 Kino Shock Film Festival. In this paper, this work was judged and analyzed as a family drama related to the theme of survival. This work also talks about nature and humans, and how humans respond or attitudes when faced with a dead-end situation.<BR> In the conclusion section, the similarities and differences of the three works analyzed in the main body, and their meaning in the history of Yakutia films were mentioned.
