Abstract
The purpose of the article is to increase the energy efficiency of ventilation systems in mining enterprises using a round socket installed in the air duct. The article presents numerical and experimental results of studying the outlines of vortex zones formed at the installation site of a round bell. Numerical studies were carried out using the Ansys Fluent software package. We obtained graphical and analytical dependences of the distribution of the axial and radial components of the velocity near the bell, depending on its radius and angle of inclination
