Abstract

The article examines the peculiarities of the verse element in the poetical drama “Keryaii Valley” by I. M. Gogolev. Studying I. M. Gogolev’s dramaturgy in the aspect of the literary bilingualism problem, analyzing the specificity of the epic verse functioning in the dramaturgic text is a relatively new and promising trend of Yakut literary criticism. Within the framework of the “poet’s drama” problem the paper identifies the peculiarities of the dramaturgic usage of comparisons and metaphors, alliterations, syntactic parallelisms typical of the epic verse. I. M. Gogolev’s dramaturgic text is considered as a marginal text, transitional form between poetry and prose. An appeal to the epic verse is interpreted as a manifestation of the author’s individual style and the poet-dramatist’s creative manner, his innovative genre and style approaches.
