Abstract

Since different authors in the scientific literature present different concepts, definitions and classifications of strategies, which differ in goals, tools used, resources involved, it is important to study the features of the strategy of foreign economic activity of the forest industry and the specifics of its improvement. from modern realities. This article reveals the main theoretical provisions, definition and interpretation of the concept of strategy, clarifies the feasibility of its improvement. The issue of foreign economic and export activity of the enterprise is revealed. The necessity of improvement of foreign economic strategy of the enterprise of the enterprises of the forest branch proceeding from branch specificity is substantiated. It is noted that when improving the strategy of foreign economic activity, it is advisable to focus primarily on the competitive advantages of enterprises in the industry, which in our opinion include the following advantages: own raw materials, forests have been internationally certified according to FSC criteria and have implementation of foreign economic activity. The state of export of products of Lviv Regional Department of Forestry and Hunting is investigated. It is noted that state forest enterprises, the management of which will consider it appropriate to resume exports of roundwood, will need to develop strategies / s to restore access to foreign markets and the most appropriate in the opinion of the authors will be market penetration strategy, followed by market segmentation strategy.
