Abstract
The article is devoted to the consideration of the concept and signs of abuse of law, as well as various approaches to understanding this term in Russian and foreign legal science. Abuse of law is a complex and ambiguous legal category, the study of which is fraught with a number of difficulties. Previously, some jurists denied the very existence of this institution, which was due to legal idealism and unwillingness to recognize the possibility of harm in the exercise of law. However, this problem is currently receiving increasing coverage in the legal literature and practice.
