Abstract

The article explores I.L. Solonevich’s concept of “people’s monarchy” as the explication of popular political worldview and the new type of Christian historiosophy. The author reconstructs the model of the type of state formed in Russia in the pre-Petrine era and remaining unchanged though it has been subjected to violent distortions in the forms of Europeanization and Sovietization, but still surviving at the national mentality level. He highlights the key ideas of the concept of I.L. Solonevich, that allow us to see the continuity of Russian history and predict its future.
