Abstract

Hajj is one of the pillars of Islam and it is obligatory for every able and capable Muslim. It is obligatory for every Muslim to perform Hajj to the sacred land of God once in a lifetime. It is a hope for every Muslim from the day God imposed Hajj on Muslims; Therefore, with the passage of time, there has been a change and fluctuation in the number of pilgrims, until their number today is more than 2,300,000 pilgrims, and the share of Islamic countries who wanted to perform Hajj to the Sacred House of God is variable and limited to certain percentages, and the costs and patterns of Hajj trips have changed with the change in economic characteristics and social factors for pilgrims, in addition to political factors. The study of Hajj and pilgrims is of great importance; Because it has more than one aspect, the first is for the country from which the pilgrims come, the second is for the economic and social characteristics of the pilgrims, and the third is for the sacred land of God and what the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia places.
