Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Aquatic Taekwondo training on physical fitness, Quality of Sleep and Urinary incontinence in elderwomen. The subjects of this study were 12 elderly women in exercise group. The frequency of aquatic taekwondo training was 3 times per week for 12 weeks. Each 60-minute training program included 10 minutes of warm-up activities and 10 minutes of cool-down activities. The result of this study showed that significant improvement of physical fitness such as Left and Right grip strength (p.05), Chair sit-and-up (p.05), 2min standing walking (p.01). Moreover we found that there were the significant improvements of urinary incontinence in a day (p.01), a week (p.01), a month (p.05), In addition significantly improve subjective sleep quality (p.01), sleep duration (p.05), total score (p.05). Therefore, these data demonstrated that aquatic taekwondo training program may be an effective strategy for improving urinary incontinence and sleep quality in eldery women.
