Abstract

The competitiveness of the development of small and medium-sized businesses largely depends on the influence of a number of factors. From this point of view, the article examines the factors influencing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized businesses. When preparing the article, methods of analysis, synthesis and generalization were used. In modern conditions, increasing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized businesses can play an important role in strengthening their positions not only in the domestic but also in the foreign market. In addition, highly competitive small and medium-sized enterprises can be freed from the threat of bankruptcy by demonstrating resilience in a global competitive environment. In this regard, the applied significance of the study is explained by ensuring the competitive development of small and medium-sized businesses. Factors influencing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises can be determined in two directions: • positively influencing factors; • negatively influencing factors. Differentiation of these factors allows us to prepare effective proposals and recommendations in the direction of developing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises.
