Abstract

Islam is a complete code of life which provides us guidance and awareness in all fields of life. Amongst the Islamic science, law of inheritance is the most important one. Its importance can be assessed from the very fact that it is that science which has been discussed in detail by Allah in Quran.(Shares of all relatives etc. have been specifically identified in Quran). Through this science Islam has facilitated all of the heirs to receive their shares as per their proportions equally without any distinction on the basis of social position i.e. poor or rich any other consideration. However “here are a few commandments of Islamic science of inheritance regarding which different points of views have been presented by Shia'a sect as compared to that of Ahl-e-sunnat Wal-Aljumaat e.g: Awal (a kind of slaves) Ta'aseeb i.e. the relatives from father side, the inheritance of elder son, of the widow ‘and the grand son from daughter side. In this article we are going to discuss all of the details regarding the disputed points along with the issues on which these two sects have agreed (do not have any difference).
