Abstract

The paper presents the results of the analysis of conditions for the ice jam formation in the lower pool of the Rybinsk HPS in the winter of 2020, assesses changes in the characteristics of the ice and level regime in recent years, and makes recommendations for the organization of ice monitoring in the lower pool. The research materials were the field data, water levels, and ice conditions at hydrological posts, radar, and optical satellite images Sentinel 1 and 2.
