Abstract

The article presents a technical solution to the issue of improving the meat cutter machine productivity by enhancing the total length of the chopper knife cutting edges. A chopper knife with an additional cutting edge was proposed. A mathematical model was developed to determine the productivity of the meat cutter machine. The calculations have shown that at the main cutting edge length of l1 = 0,25 m and at the additional cutting edge length of 0.125 m, the cutter machine productivity will improve by 38 %. The results confirm the advisability of using chopper knives with an additional cutting edge.
