Abstract

Within the framework of this study, on the example of the largest outbreak of HFRS in the Saratov region in 2019, the economic efficiency of anti-epidemic deratization measures in natural foci of HFRS was evaluated. The economic feasibility of timely implementation of anti-epidemic measures is substantiated. It is demonstrated that the delay in the implementation of an effective set of anti-epidemic measures, during the period of increasing morbidity, is associated with serious economic damage. It is shown that every day of «delay» in carrying out a set of measures during the outbreak of HFRS in the Saratov region in 2019 added 15 new cases of HFRS, which cost the budget 2,107,425 rubles daily. Calculations are given indicating that the implementation of timely anti-epidemic measures is highly cost-effective, since the benefits of the measures carried out significantly exceed the costs of their organization. Keywords: hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome, economic efficiency, antiepidemic measures.
