АРМЕНИЯ И ИНТЕГРАЦИОННЫЕ ПРОЦЕССЫ НА ЕВРАЗИЙСКОМ ПРОСТРАНСТВЕ: ВЫЗОВЫ И ПЕРСПЕКТИВЫ РАЗВИТИЯ

Abstract

The article is devoted to the issues of integration in the post-Soviet (Eurasian) space in general, as well as to the peculiarities of the participation of the Republic of Armenia in various integration projects, difficulties and positive aspects related to integration. The author notes a number of issues common to most post-Soviet integration formats. It is the lack of a positive agenda, the unwillingness of a number of newly independent states participating in integration to delegate part of their sovereignty to supranational bodies, the lack of clear understanding of the possibilities of conjugation of various integration projects, etc. In addition, the author characterizes the main issues associated with the integration of the Republic of Armenia into post-Soviet integration structures. He emphasizes that two factors currently influence the integration policy of Yerevan – the security factor and the development factor. All partners of the Republic of Armenia in the integration associations should take that into account. The article is based on the author’s report, made at the international conference “Integration processes in the post-Soviet space as a response to the challenges of modern Russia and other CIS member states development (towards the 30th anniversary of the CIS formation)”, which was held at the Russian State University for the Humanities on December 3d, 2021.
