Abstract

The fact that digital technologies have become an integral part of modern education enables to conduct preparatory courses for the Olympiad remotely. The lack of pedagogical experience and insufficient knowledge of the topic are the reasons why the implementation of such preparatory courses is an urgent problem for many Russian regions. The modern school is faced with the problem to provide high-quality preparation for the subject Olympiads of schoolchildren due to the lack of high-quality programs and a sufficient number of teachers who are able to implement these programs. The forced transition to distance learning, on the one hand, revealed these problems, on the other hand, showed ways out of the current situation. The purpose of the article is to determine the features of preparation for the Olympiads in a modern school using digital technologies and to study the attitudes of schoolchildren to this form of preparation. The author studied the basic principles of the transformation of education using digital technologies and analyzed the features of the remote preparation for the Olympiad in English. The author proposes a system of remote preparation for the Olympiad, describes the preparation of Moscow schoolchildren for the regional and final stages of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren. The author conducted interviews with schoolchildren preparing for the Olympiad at his author's courses, and revealed the attitudes of students to this form of preparation. The proposed system can operate in any region of Russia, which will improve the quality of preparation for the Olympiads in the country for gifted children.
