Abstract
The article discusses the tourism potential of the Republic of North Ossetia – Alania. Despite all the possibilities of modernizing the tourism sector, in practice they are just beginning to take steps towards the development of this industry. The main characteristics of recreational infrastructure, strengths and problems of tourism development in the republic are given.
