Abstract
The article proves the mechanisms of transition to sustainable development in the Mogilev region at different hierarchical levels. The innovation of strategic planning involves the creation of the localization architecture of sustainable development goals at the level of the Republic of Belarus, subnational region, cities (districts), as well as certain organizations. The paper classifies the main stages in the process of working out regional and local strategies of sustainable development. The experience of a workshop on the training of local experts in the development of strategic planning documents of the Mogilev region at the level of towns of regional subordination and administrative districts is presented. The methodological approaches to the development of the program of transition to the development of circular economy of the educational institution «Mogilev State Technological College» within the framework of the implementation of the Strategy of Sustainable Development of the Mogilev region until 2035 are tested.
