Abstract

The paper analyses the runoff formation conditions and the water qualitative composition of the transboundary Argun (Khailar) River at its section coinisiding with the state border of the Russian Federation with taking into account both natural conditions and economic activity in this basin on the Russian territory plus the same for the near-boundary zone of the neighboring state (as an estimation). The authors gave reasons for localization of the joint sampling sites in order to enhance effectiveness of monitoring and development of measures aimed at the river water quality improvement.
