Abstract

The research aims to determine the influence of structural components of the university educational environment on the personal, professional, sociocultural formation of a future teacher. The paper sheds light on the essence of the “educational environment”, “educational space” notions within the fundamental theoretical concepts and models of the educational environment. The researchers analysed and provided insight into the specific characteristics of structural components of the educational environment at the Belgorod National Research University, which have a “developing effect”. The research is novel in that it substantiates the structural components of the university educational environment as a set of microenvironments, each of which consists of a structural framework in the form of the spatial-subject component (“space of things”), the event-activity component (“space of events”) and the subject-social component (“space of relations”). As a result, it has been proved that the didactic, practice-oriented, creative and educational microenvironments have the greatest influence on the formation of future teachers in all areas, especially in the “space of relations” component.
