Abstract

The article contains results of study of meteorological hazards on the territory of the Crimean peninsula using the data of 23 meteorological stations for the period 1976-2018. Frequency, duration and intensity of meteorological hazards within the current climate period was assessed. The main long-term trends in annual frequency of such events related to precipitation and wind as well as its total number have been established. The analysis of baric formations in the surface atmosphere layer causing storm weather in the Azov-Black Sea region was carried out. The corresponding leading atmospheric processes in the middle troposphere are also described.
