Abstract

The decomposition components of geopotential fields and their calculated transformants in the Kolpakovsky through zone with established oil and gas content (western coast of Kamchatka) were studied. Gravity and magnetic survey data identified structure-forming faults and basement ruptures. Studies were continued to establish the similarity of the studied fragment of the Pustoretsky Trough, located in the marginal part of the Koryak-Kamchatka folded region, with the «reference» Kolpakovsky sedimentary depression. Zones of structural-forming influence of the basement fault-block tectonics on the sedimentary cover are distinguished. Using probabilistic-statistical methods within the limits of the studied fragment the prognostic and geophysical scheme of regional prerequisites of oil and gas bearing capacity was made. The prediction of local prerequisites of oil and gas bearing capacity associated with buried highs and elevations of basement, as well as with small positive forms of its relief was carried out. Prognostic and geophysical schemes with overlapping of local prerequisites of oil and gas bearing capacity were compiled. Oil and gas prospective areas of possible development of hydrocarbon reservoirs were localized with high probabilities. The correlation between the predicted prerequisites of oil and gas local features of structural surfaces fixed by seismic data was established.
