Abstract
The article substantiates system of the future border guard officers’ professional training with the usage of distance learning technologies. The main attention is paid to the characteristics of such components of the system: the goal, requirements for the specialist, main principles and tasks, methodological approaches, components, essence of the learning process (planned and unscheduled classes, independent preparation, educational measures), cycles and stages of training, subjects of the educational process, methods of teaching and learning, electronic educational and methodological complexes, educational and methodological support, types, means and forms of organization of the educational process, technologies and platforms of distance learning, pedagogical conditions, final result of training.
