Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the early childhood education service workers" perception of the job environment on job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and to examine the effect on the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The subject of this study was SPSS 22.0 statistical analysis of 205 childcare teachers working in childcare facilities located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do as a study sample. As a result of the study, first, the degree of compensation in the job environment and peer relationship had a positive (+) effect on job satisfaction, but long-term professionalism and participation in decision-making were rejected. Second, the four sub-factors of the job environment, the degree of compensation, professional growth opportunities, peer relationships, and decision-making participation, were all adopted as positive (+) effect on organizational commitment. Third, job satisfaction was adopted as a positive (+) effect on organizational commitment. According to the results of this study, it was found that sub-factors of the job environment in childcare settings have a positive effect on job satisfaction and organizational commitment of childcare teachers.
