Abstract

The article presents a comparative analysis of proverbs and sayings on the gender of femininity in the Kazakh language. The novelty of the research is seen in the fact that in the work proverbs and sayings are systematized on the basis of comparative classification by gender. In the course of the study, we found that in Kazakh proverbs and sayings, the gender sign of femininity is more often expressed by the presence of the words ana (woman) and ayel (wife). This is due to the fact that the system of values in relation to women was formed on the basis of one of the important functions of a woman - to have children, to be a wife and keeper of the hearth and comfort. In her article, the author emphasized the similarity of Kazakh and Kyrgyz proverbs. On the other hand, Kyrgyz and Kazakh proverbs and sayings about women did not differ in their similarity.
