Abstract
In recent years, the activities of Russian commercial banks have been influenced by a complex of external and internal factors, which requires strengthening the adaptation of banking models to the conditions of an unstable economic environment and creating a margin of financial strength for its continuation. At the same time, the ability to identify negative trends in the bankruptcy prevention mechanism will make it possible to take preventive measures to prevent it both by the regulator and the credit institution itself, which is a trigger for the development of the banking sector. It is important to pay close attention to identifying negative trends in the banking sector in order to reduce the mass revocation of licenses of credit institutions due to the deterioration of the financial position of banks, which may further worsen the state of the banking sector. These circumstances determined the relevance of the study.
