Abstract

The article presents the results of a psychodiagnostic study (2022) to assess the psychological status and behaviour of magistrates engaged in the reconciliation practice in Tver and the Tver region. They actualize the problem of popularizing the reconciliation practice to settle a judicial dispute, and also substantiate the psychological status of a justice of the peace as the main figure in the reconciliation process. They also raise the question of the justice of the peace’s personal and psychological resources and his or her compliance with their professional competencies.
