Abstract
The purpose of the article is to analyze the role of an enterprise’s innovative development strategy in diversifying the indicators of the patent portfolio of companies in the oil and gas sector. As a result of the article, the advantages of using patent analytics tools in managing the innovative development strategy of an oil and gas industry enterprise were considered, including: examples of the successful use of patents are given, the types of patents, methods of their diversification and the degree of influence are presented.
