Abstract

The purpose of the study is to identify axiological-semantic and linguocultural markers as a basis for ethnic identity of Crimea small peoples (the ethnic Bulgarians, the ethnic Germans). The research is novel in that evolution of small languages forms, everyday consciousness and traditional culture of Crimea small ethnic groups is considered for the first time. As a result, the study of the cultural and particularly linguistic situation of Crimea small peoples in foreign-language environment shows that due to historical processes, geopolitical and social changes these communities have undergone massive linguistic assimilation and virtually lost their ethnic identity.
