Abstract

The article identifies the need for Ukraine’s transition to a model of sustainable development, which is caused by the transformational changes that took place in the domestic economy during the years of independence. The role of social innovations in using human capital and increasing its competitiveness in the context of sustainable development has been determined. It is proved that the innovation economy plays an important role in the modernization of the national economy of Ukraine and confronting the global crisis. Creative industries produce goods and services, including ideas, which then become resources for the innovation process and other economic activities of the Ukrainian economy, both in a scientific and technological sense. It is proved that creative human capital is the driving force of modern innovative economy of Ukraine.
