Abstract

The paper aims to reveal semantic transformations of news propositions in introductions to news media texts posted in social networks. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the author for the first time identifies and describes types of semantic transformations of propositions in introductions to news media texts posted in social networks. The conducted analysis allows identifying the following semantic changes: semantic compression; introduction of additional elements; semantic increment due to introducing implicit semantics; replacement of certain components of a proposition by generalized descriptors; full replacement of semantic components and combined techniques.
