Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis and historical and comparative analysis of scientific data on the underground cults of Islam and Christianity. The content of scientific conclusions concerning the arrangement and activity of underground prayer places of the world's leading religions, their similarities and features in spiritual traditions is revealed. The use of a historical-comparative approach in research on the history of the formation of underground prayer places in the experience and knowledge of world religions determines their common features and similarities. When clarifying the history and time of construction, the functioning of religious underground prayer places, methods of research of theological science were used, which make it possible to accurately determine the typological function of the object, reveal the content of the religious and spiritual activity of underground prayer places, and determine their impact on the social and social environment. Presented for scientific circulation with an analysis of the traditions of worship and architectural similarities and features of religious temples in the world's leading religions.
