Abstract
The publication presents the memoirs of Pavel Nazyrov, editor-in-chief of the popular science magazine “Know the World of History. A Popular Encyclopedia of Historical Science” (“Poznaj mir istorii. Populyarnaya enciklopediya istoricheskoj nauki”) about his collaboration with medievalist historian Anton Sveshnikov. On the basis of Internet correspondence, the work on the preparation of two issues of the journal dedicated to medieval studies and the French historian Mark Blok is revealed, the role of A. Sveshnikov is revealed not only as a researcher, but also as a popularizer of historical science.
