Abstract
Surgical treatment of 15 children with post-traumatic contractures and joint ankylosis using Volkov-Oganesyan apparatus carried out in «Aksay» university clinic of Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov is aimed at restoration of joint mobility. The surgical treatment allowed us to create the maximal anatomical congruence of the structures of the operated joint with the following elaboration of movements using external constructions. The conducted complex of rehabilitation procedures at every stage of the treatment allowed us to reach restoration of extremity functions in most cases.
