Abstract
The article presents the results of a study of current problems of ensuring energy security in the field of liquid motor fuel production. The proven oil reserves in the main oil-producing countries of the world, the dynamics of the world's population, as well as the volume of oil consumption are analyzed. The structure of the oil fields used in the implementation of production projects in the Russian Federation is investigated.
