Abstract

One of the pioneers for the creation of an international document for protecting children’s rights as a special and vulnerable group is the Polish doctor and pedagogue Janusz Korczak. His rich literature works has created a significant trace in the development of pedagogy and has been studied in several subjects in the coursework of future teachers at Faculty of Education. In the light of 80 years of his death we have decided to study the perceptions and attitudes of educational specialists toward the idea for children rights and Korczak ideas in the field and to outline the challenges that educational specialists face when they have to provide protection and education of children about those rights.
