Abstract

In recent times, there has been a noticeable infusion of new Indian elements into Armenia's traditionally uniform demographic landscape. The observable surge in Indian migrants arriving in Armenia year by year is reshaping several sectors of our economy. This phenomenon of "Indianization" within Armenia's migration landscape is intriguing and somewhat unexpected, especially considering Armenia's historical role as a source rather than a destination for migration. This paper conducts both quantitative and qualitative analyses of the latest migration trends in Armenia, focusing on the growing influx of migrants from India. The objective is to understand the reasons behind this trend and its implications for Armenia's economy, which is transitioning into a notable player in this “movie” of Indian migration.
